Maybe it was a squirrel!?

I was going to put "star" toothpaste (bubblegum flavored) on MC's toothbrush when it squirted onto the floor.
It was pretty runny and I knew that "someone" had been sucking on the tube.
I asked MC, "Who's been sucking on this tube?"
With a very straight face she replied, "Maybe it was a squirrel?"
