dress up

The girls were playing dress up and began to argue about who got to wear the pink princess slippers. Then Daddy said in a very serious voice, "NO, you're Cinderella and she's Sparkly."

I don't know what's funnier, Daddy trying to keep to "princesses" in order or Daddy calling them by their princess names?

Sleemy Slimey

Over the summer we came across Floridas Natural Fruit Snacks. They come in strings and nuggets but our favorite are the strings. We had them very often and MC chose to call them "sleemy slimies". We don't know where that name came from but it stuck.

JP was born in September and the girls where so excited to have a baby brother! One morning, soon after coming home from the hospital, I was changing his diaper with big sisters looking on and then J said, "Look, JP has a sleemy slimey!".

Daddy: While fixing the door something goes wrong and we hear, "Oh, crap!"

J: "What crab daddy?

MC: "Not Sebastian, J!"

On talking about beach wear

We have had lots of snow this winter and even in this cold and snowy weather, M is really into wearing dresses and tights with her pretty dress shoes. Today she wanted to wear a summer dress and we talked about how the dress wasn't appropriate for this cold weather we are having. We had a quick conversation about warm weather clothes. Here is part of our conversation:

M-We wear swimsuits in the summer, huh, Mom.
mom-Yes, we do.
M-Do you remember that I have a zucchini, Mom?
mom- ????? :) :) :) :) :). . . Yes, you do.

To Dance or To Pray

MC and J were eating lunch and talking when MC began to explain that she was going to be a cheerleader on t.v. and dance.
J told her, "No, MC, you stay at church and pray!".
